Pony Club Camp

I am a firm believer in giving back to the sport that you love and what better than to coach at Pony Club Camp.  I will be at Vine Pony Club Camp at Wellington Riding from 12th to 15th August and I can’t wait!

Saturday Boy

Finally after a long rehab  Saturday Boy is returning to competition, I am looking forward to telling you more! (Seen here working on suppleness and rhythm with his stable mates in the wonderful facilities at Huntsman’s Stables, near Newbury, another venue that I coach from).

Foal Watch

Galanthus, better known as Winni, is expecting a foal any minute now.  We are a little unsure about the dates, so it's all one long waiting game.  Thanks to Pip Etherington at Etherington Equestrian who is acting midwife in waiting. Hurry up Winni!

New Clinic Venue

I am delighted to tell you about a new venue that I will be coaching from.  I will be holding regular training there and look forward to welcoming new and old friends together with Emma and Peter Dove our hosts.

MCS Xanthos

Earlier this year I was delighted to tell you about my new horse - a weanling and son of my mare Galanthus and also Saturdays nephew!  By the wonderful  Grand Prix cremello stallion  Camlough Delphi, his Dam Sire was the Olympic Stallion Giorgonne.  With these wonderful bloodlines I was looking forward to the future with him, whilst letting him be a very fluffy, gawky youngster learning to play in a small herd of other youngsters.  Sadly, I lost Xanthos due to a field accident and he is no longer with us.

Competition Winner

The winner of my competition for a Performance Profile and 3 linked lessons was Jen Jaques, a veterinary surgeon and keen equestrian competing in dressage and eventing.  She had previously competed to advanced medium and is currently training her gorgeous  7 year old Irish mare Bridget.

We sat down and discussed Jens training so far, her learning preferences, short and long term goals and identified some things to work on together whilst aiming to do her first elementary tests in the near future.  Since then I am delighted to say the Jen has done her elementary tests and came first and second with scores in the very high 60’s.  Well done Jen!

I will be offering a similar opportunity for one lucky rider later in the year, so please keep an eye on this website or follow me on Facebook and Instagram!

Winni has returned to us. Having been trained to Advanced Medium she has had some time off having babies, including Xanthos!  She is currently quietly coming back in to work with Pip Etherington of Etherington Equestrian.
